In these pictures the contractor works in the outbound US 290 frontage road area, just west of Huffmeister. Recent utility relocations have given crews the opportunity to begin this construction.

Here the contractor pours concrete in an area between the inbound US 290 mainlanes and frontage road, just west of Jones Road. The inbound mainlanes in this project, between Eldridge and FM 529, are anticipated to be completed by fall 2015.

These images show the progress crews are making on the westbound Collector-Distributor roadway at Beltway 8. This new roadway will parallel the westbound US 290 mainlanes, and will improve traffic flow through the US 290/Beltway 8 interchange by consolidating exiting and entering movements.

The picture on the left shows the contractor removing old concrete from the US 290 westbound frontage road/Bingle Road intersection, which will be rebuilt.

In the middle, you can see crews working on the US 290 outbound frontage road between W. 43rd Street and Antoine Drive.

And on the right, you can see the new pavement for the US 290 outbound frontage road between W. 43rd and Bingle. By July 2015, most of the work on this portion of the frontage road was completed.
