In this picture, the contractor works to install storm sewer along the inbound US 290 frontage road just east of Mason Road. After that work is done, crews will build the new frontage road on top.

By the end of April 2015, most of this retaining wall and the inbound US 290 retaining wall at Spring Cypress had been completed.

This picture shows columns for the new direct connector from northbound SH 6 to the inbound US 290 mainlanes. Once that is built, those motorists will no longer have to travel through the signal at the US 290/SH 6 intersection.

These images show you progress on the outbound US 290 frontage road just east of Beltway 8. The contractor has laid down asphalt, over which concrete will be poured. The frontage road in this area is temporarily reduced to one lane.

These pictures show the contractor working on the outbound US 290 frontage road between Antoine Drive and W. 43rd Street. Crews will install new storm sewer, then build the new frontage road on top.

On the left, the contractor drills a hole along outbound US 290 between Dacoma Street and Mangum Road. Later crews will build a column inside of it, for the new direct connector to US 290 coming from I-10. At right is an area just east of there, showing completed columns and hung beams for that same direct connector.

In the middle of the picture at left, you can see construction occurring on the new northbound I-610 mainlanes. At right is an image showing a crew on top of one the new northbound I-610 mainlane beams, waiting for a deck panel to come down to them. Those panels are installed on top of the beams, then crews build the mainlane pavement on top of the panels.
