The contractor pours concrete for the inbound mainlanes near Fairbanks North Houston. (left) All the inbound pavement from W. Little York to Pinemont is scheduled to open in July 2018. (right) This will complete the inbound mainlanes from W. Little York to I-610, providing motorists five lanes in that area.

This month both the inbound and outbound mainlanes in this project, from W. 34th to Pinemont, were opened to traffic in their final configuration. (left and right) Motorists now have five lanes to travel on in each direction.

The contractor is continuing work on the I-610 northbound and southbound U-turns at W. 18th. Once completed, these will provide motorists with U-turns at W. 18th for the first time.

This past month the new I-610 West Loop northbound exit to US 290 opened to motorists, it is in the middle of the picture at left. The exit just below it opened as well, which allows motorists to access Dacoma/Mangum. The new I-610 North Loop westbound direct connector to US 290 opened this past month as well. (right)
