The contractor removes existing asphalt from the middle of the mainlanes near Telge. In this area the new High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane will be built. Once that is done, the mainlanes in this project can open in their final configuration.

Crews are removing the existing concrete box storm sewer along FM 1960 northbound. Once the existing storm sewer is removed, crews place new storm sewer, and later will construct the FM 1960 northbound frontage road on top. (right)

The contractor has placed down final striping along much of the inbound and outbound frontage roads.A line which is half-white and half-black improves visibility by providing contrast, ultimately lane buttons will be placed as well.

With the roadway work substantially complete, one of the final tasks left for the contractor is to build detention ponds underneath the I-610/US 290 interchange. These ponds ultimately will hold water during rain events.
